I'm pretty sure...
I update my Tumblr’s theme more than I actually update it.
This past weekend was f’in’ tiring—two birthdays and an amusement park me driving to every single event. It was nothing but good times, but I don’t want to have another weekend like that for a while.
This week though—all about productivity and moving. Utilities are pretty much set up and hopefully by...

And you don't even know yet.
Well, this and The Temper Trap’s “Sweet Disposition” are going to be on repeat for a while. From the (500) Days of Summer soundtrack.
In other news, 2009 is more than halfway done. Since coming back from my trip:
Collected unemployment for three months
Started working again two weeks ago (same company, same job, less pay, no complaints)
Will be attending Miami Ad School...

Wrapping up 2008.
Who knew that using up so much money for absolutely nothing in return would ever feel so right?
Hope you had a Merry Christmas, everyone.
I realized today that January 7th is coming really, really soon. I’m not panicking yet, but I sense the rush coming. I need to get on top of this shit, quickly. For some reason I had a whole month of being absolutely bored out of my mind, and now I have...
And I swear I thought of you
Man, I love me some Pinback. One of my favorite songs from one of my favorite bands.
Now, I've never been to Russia or China
But the correlation between the mental image I have of each country and their respective embassies/consulates is hilariously accurate.
The Russian one is cold, dim, and located in a rather isolated and relatively peaceful part of the city. Inside the waiting area it’s quiet, cold, and stern. Seriously, everyone has been dead silent both times I went, save for the one middle-aged American...

I finally bit the (first) bullet
And booked my flight out of the USA. I’m out of here January 7th, on my way to Bangkok, Thailand via a 3-hour stopover in Tokyo, Japan. I have no idea what I’ll be doing there or where I’ll be staying yet, but I’ll figure that out sometime soon, preferably before the plane lands. For now, I’m just happy because my trip’s already started.
Safety issues notwithstanding,
Driving at night in the fog is actually pleasant. Most people complain about foggy weather, but I pretty much love it. It’s calming, and everything looks vastly different, mostly because the only things you can see are the ones immediately in front of you. There’s also something about the way every headlight, tail light, and streetlight look identical through the fog. Then...
I'll meet you in the fog again.
Pretty much stuck on repeat on my iPod/iTunes for a couple of days now.
Bittersweet victory.
America, you just took a step forward towards a direction a lot of us have been waiting 8 years for.
California, you just took a step backwards. I’m ashamed that my state is the first in the nation to strip a group of people of a right by constitutional amendment.
All the arguments, for and against, have been said to death, so there isn’t any point in me refuting or repeating any of...

Hayden Panettiere: Vote For McCain →
“Hi, I’m Hayden Panettiere, and I’m hot enough that I know I have your attention for at least 30 seconds.”
Change.
What the hell happened to my iGoogle home page? It’s all weird now. Fuck you, Google.
Also, fuck Joe the Plumber.
And why is no one online?
Anyway, I just came back from the gym and I feel great.
Omfg
I don’t think there’s anything as annoying as overhearing people argue pros and cons of operating systems.

I’m embarassed to say that this is straight up 4chan /b/ status to laugh at shit like this, but I’m laughing really hard at this anyway.
Today was a waste of a day.

Wow. He’s a damn good speaker, although I thought he was going to pop a vein at more than one point in the speech.
Based on a recent lunch conversation
Google hits for “only muffin tops”: 196 hits
Google hits for “only muffin bottoms”: only 4 hits, 3 of them from someone on a forum saying, “THIS IS LIKE SELLING ONLY MUFFIN BOTTOMS! Fuck you”

The Atlas of the Real World →
“The Atlas of the Real World uses software to depict the nations of the world, not by their physical size, but by their demographic importance on a range of subjects.”
Some very interesting maps that put some usually hard-to-grasp numbers into perspective. Particularly surprising (or not) are maps #12 and 14.
